In our 'Bet of the Week' series, Tipico Sportsbook will highlight some of the most notable wagers of the previous week.
After surviving a nail-biter during the NCAA Tournament, a Tipico Sportsbook bettor stayed the course and eventually won $3,406.23 on a 6-leg parlay on March 23-24.
During the Kansas State-Michigan State game during the Sweet 16, the customer from Ohio wagered $75 at +4442 odds in a 6-leg parlay. The customer included games that were being played the following day.
The parlay included moneylines and spreads in all six legs, and it could have been tempting to cash out after the customer won their moneyline pick on Gonzaga-UCLA, a game that went down to the wire with the Bulldogs winning.
The customer stayed in the game after the Zags game, which was the third leg of the parlay. And the persistence paid off!

Tipico's tournament contest has been extremely popular with customers. There has been 637% jump in bet count from the First Four to the Elite Eight from last year's tournament, and handle has increased 191% during the same period.
More than 4,000 Tipico bettors have entered the contest, to vie for $500,000 worth of prizes -- including the grand prize of bets on us for an entire year (see leaderboard here.)
"We've seen an increase in interest and betting around March Madness this year," said Brian Becker, Vice President of Marketing at Tipico. "With the creation of our contest, we've sometimes seen smaller bet slips but see around 3x more betting with focus and growth in Ohio. Tipico was really excited this year to deliver more betting markets around player props and SGP to enhance the customer experience."

The contest has been a huge success with Tipico bettors, with 4,324 folks jumping into the madness. Customers from Ohio have dominated the contest, with Clay C currently atop the leaderboard and 11 of the top 16 from Ohio.
But Tipico's other states -- New Jersey, Colorado and Iowa -- are all represented among the top 12.
